Race day in a nutshell

Date:  6 & 7 November 2020
Distance: 255km
Start: Cullinan
Finish: Dunkeld Country & Equestrian Estate, Dullstroom.
Elevation gain: 3200m ascent over the total distance
Race cut-off: 24 hours

Entry Fees

Entry fees include: Finisher t-shirt for each rider, 2 checkpoints, 6 water points, safe routes, medical support, halfway & finish meal.

Solo Rider

Endure the long road as a solo rider. R1600 entry fee.

Team of two

Endure the long road with a buddy. R3000 entry fee.

The Route 

The entire route will be on district and farm roads with amazing riding conditions that’s not very technical. The second half of the race might be tough with uphill drags and higher altitude. Though the race might be long and tough, riders will be rewarded with breathtaking scenery of the Highlands.

The route will not be marked and the roads will not be closed off for the event, be cautious of potential traffic at all times and make 100% sure it is safe to go before crossing roads. Route files and checkpoint information will be supplied to all riders closer to the time.

The routes will not be marked, it is compulsory for each rider to have a GPS device. The route GPS files will be send to all riders closer to the event. The full route will be on the file and not just check point coordinates. Riders will have to follow the exact route and are not allowed to self-navigate to checkpoints. Cell phones are not reliable navigational devices so riders are not allowed to use cell phones as their navigational device.  Make sure you pack extra batteries or power banks to ensure your GPS device has power at all times.
