Event Information


Registration takes place on Friday 6 November 2020 at 4 am.

Race Start

Friday, 6 November 2020 at 5:15 am at Piacere Restaurant Parking Area, Cullinan.

7 Checkpoints

7 Checkpoints will be available throughout the race.

7 Water Points

There will be 7 water points during the race.

Race finish

Finish venue will be at Dunkeld Country & Equestrian Estate, Dullstroom, where a warm meal and a finisher T-shirt will await you.

Bag Drop

Riders can book in their bag at registration. There will only be one bag drop location. WP3 (Halfway point) will be the bag drop zone. All the bags will be transferred from WP3 to the finish at Dunkeld Country Estate.


 There will be 7 water points and each water point is also a check point.

WP 1 | 42km

Waterpoint 1 at about 42km into the route. Tar road intersection @ 86km for 300m long. Road rules apply, please stay left and look out for marshals and metro police to assist with the intersection.

WP 2 | 88km

Waterpoint 2 at about 88km into the route. Tar road intersection @ 118km for 11km and a long decent to WP3. Road rules apply, please stay left and lookout for marshals and metro police to assist with the intersection.

WP 3 | 133km

Waterpoint 3 at about 133km into the route. From WP3 to WP5 will arguably be the toughest section on the course. 45km with 770m of climbing.

WP 4 | 164km

Waterpoint 4 at about 164km into the route.

WP 5 | 178km

Waterpoint 5 at about 178km into the route. After WP5 there will be a 7km tar road section. Road rules apply. Front and rear lights should be visible at all times.

WP 6 | 210km

Waterpoint 6 at about 210km into the route. At 230km riders will encounter the famous Korfnek climb. 9km long with 370m of climbing.

WP 7 | 232km

WP7 will be waiting on top of Korfnek climb and 23km to the finish.

Race Rules

Adhering to the race rules are extremely important to ensure everyone’s safety and to make the event experience a pleasant one for all involved. The list of rules is quite comprehensive but please read through it all to make 100% sure you are acquainted with every single one. No exceptions will be made with regards to any of these rules.

Bike transport options and offers will be made available closer to the time of the event. Please keep popping in at our social media channels for when this service will be made available for Cullinan to Tonteldoos 2020.
